I would have to hope anyone who is in education has read as much history using the historical method, as they have read history by political revisionists.
A book or article should state it's sources. Typically this bibliography should state primary documents (references to actual material from people or organizations directly involved) and secondary documents (research articles or books specific to the topic). This material is essentially gathered, authenticated and studied by the author. As a result, conclusions based more on fact than fiction are drawn and put forward.
A historical revisionist, will use the lens of a political dogma, social agenda, or just plain loony idea, and make the facts fit the message they want to make. With this kind of material you have to look at who produced it, and closely look at its sources. Typically, close examination shows it to be advanced by someone for some organization or cause.
If after reading good historical scholarship and the student goes on to understand the poor comparison between Nazi German and the United States, then the exercise would have been worth the effort. However, if the student is awarded a high grade on responding based on historical revisionism that identifies parallels between the two nations---cash out of that school as fast as you can and go somewhere where they value education. You will be better served.

Germany was controlled by one party, whereas the USA has two strong competing parties. Germany was a united country with a homogeneous population, and one culture. The USA is a disunited country with many sub-cultures, and it the differences among the groups in the USA is getting wider with every immigrant allowed to stay in the country.
Germany was not being invaded by hordes of illegal aliens then, as the USA is now.

None whatsoever that I am aware of. In fact quite the opposite. They are only defending their ancient homeland from an aggressive force within their own borders and aren't trying to take over the world.
