will this be ok to wear for a business professional job interview?

Question

First, I have a black pin srtiped suit, and wanted to know if it would be fine to wear a white shirt with a thin vertical light blue stripe, or if you think that would be "too busy"(too many stripes). If you think it wouldn't be a problem, then what color ties might one be able to wear with this combination? Thanks.

I would suggest You get more information on the firm and their dress codes . It is always a good idea to dress for the job You want . Is the company conservative or rather creative , do they allow casual wear ?

A pinstripe is a great look but might be considered too frivolous for a certain firm .
If it's the only suit you own I would combine it with a white shirt and even coloured tie . A bit of colour will make You stand out from other candidates but don't overdo it .

You know, there is nothing wrong with matching stripes with stripes... but it depends on the combo. Because this is an interview, just wear a white shirt under it as that will make you look a little more profesional. As for the tie... with a white shirt you could get away with just about any tie that is not too busy. Once you land the job, then you can start experimenting with the different pattern combinations. Your new boss may be older and set in his/her ways and the off set shirt may be more of a distraction. The simpler and classier you can make it the better. They will pay more attention to you as a possible employee and less attention to what you are wearing. Good luck on the interview!!! :)

Stripes with stripes are difficult - without seeing the combo, I would say no.
I can't think of a good tie match for it - either solid [ blue or black ] or pin dots [ blue or black background ].
I would wear a solid white or blue shirt [ much better for interviews ] with a tie in black and blue stripe, fleur de lis, or other pattern.

I don't think it will be too busy, but it is hard to tell with out seeing it.
