Jews "have" been called names. Jesus "is" the god of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. The Roman Catholic hierarchy have not been all that friendly to Jews. Is it possible the Hebrew translators switched the "dog"? I think Jesus called Jews "dogs". It sure makes more sense that way.
Going by history.
I feel to think Jesus was a Jew is far fetched. I thinl that since the Jews expected a Jewish Messiah the pope just helps Christians out by letting them believe whatever.

The only problem with your thoughts is that they contradict the Bible. Many times in the new testament, jesus, his family and most of the apostles are describes as Jews. jesus, especially in Mathew is described as observing the laws of Moses..... he often tells others to do so as well. He was also names as "Rabbi", which is a uniquely Hebrew word, only applying to Jewish religious leaders or teachers. It don't have anything to do with the Pope.

YOU DON'T KNOW HISTORY! You and I both know that. You don't know who King Henry VIII was or you wouldn't have asked that stupid question about King James. Anyone who likes religion and history would know about the Reformation. You never told me who Romulus and Remus were and anyone who knows anything about Rome knows that. And you know nothing of the Egyptian history or you'd come up with better conspiracy theories that actually made sense. You also don't know anything about Catholicism because you think Constantine and Augustus were in it together when Augustus was long dead by the time of Constantine.

I bet you don't even know who Alexander the Great was and he's kind of important when you study about Cleopatra.

I never listen to history according to you because you have a record of being a liar.

What Jesus said is not an insult to the Jewish nation, by no means. Jesus was calling the Canaanite woman a "dog". He told her, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of Israel." She pleaded with Him to save her daughter. Jesus, said to her, "It is not right to take the children's bread, and toss it to their dogs." The "children" were the Jews. The " bread," was Christ, The "dog" was the Gentiles. However, Jesus saw her great faith and blessed her and healed her daughter. The Jews were God's chosen people, they were to take the gospel to the world. They had privilege knowing God's laws, hearing from His Prophets and yet the Gentiles who had none of that many believed in Christ.

NO. He called them dogs because he knew that's what his audience thought of them. He was trying to teach the arrogant Jewish big wigs that their attitude was wrong.
It was an illustration. His real attitude toward 'gentiles' or ppl not born Jews, is shown all through the new testament.
I wonder if you have a problem with Jews?
We are all the same to him.
Red or yellow, black or white, all are precious in his sight.

Since this appears to be a religious (anti-Jesus) rant - it would probably get a better response on the R&S site.

Or, maybe no one would rise to the bait over there, eh?
