As a long time Mystery Shopper, I will tell you anytime you see anything related to Mystery Shopping that requires a fee it is a SCAM!
Never pay to get information on Mystery Shopping.
Legitimate Mystery Shopping companies NEVER charge a fee.
For more information on Mystery Shopping go to: MysteryShop.org, the professional organization for Mystery Shoppers.
Mystery Shopping does not pay a lot of money, mostly $1.00 - $5.00 depending on the type of Shop you must complete.
Often you get to eat for free, keep what you purchase, etc. You must be an excellent writer as your reports must be sent to the Mystery Shop company for whom you work.
Fees are determined by the needs of the company for whom you will do the shop,i.e. client of the Mystery Shop company.
Claims of $10-$50 an hour are SCAMS, they want your money, they want you to purchase a book about Mystery Shopping! Don't do it!
Anyone who can think and write well, can be a Mystery Shopper, sometimes the shops are tedious, sometimes they are fun.
I shopped for a well-known Chocolatier, a major music store, a paint store, a well-known Sandwich store, and other local and national businesses.
Fees vary, depending on the shop. The most I've seen offered for a shop was $100.00. It was an emergency and need an ASAP commitment. I turned it down.
The Mystery Shop companies pay you, you do NOT pay them, NEVER, NEVER!

Nope you have to pay an annual fee to join our exclusive club for members only and if your name not down you're not coming in. Oh and there is a dress code whereby you have to wear colours stipulated and next months theme is red and black. There is also a secret password which you'll receive once you pass the initiation process. Then you'll have to go through a series of ceremonies to see if you are good enough to be with the likes of us. IF we're in good mood you MAY be considered after you been through all that.

No these are scams. Any credible job of this nature would not be charging a fee.

You will get the opportunity to buy all kinds of junk you really don't need. Consider any "job offer" that requires you to put money up front to be a scam.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. There has been much study on these "jobs" and work at home jobs, and they all turn out to be scams.

i would consider looking for high end department stores in your area that are looking for secret shoppers. most of the upper crust wouldn't be caught dead buying pricey wrinkle creams or underwear.
