It sounds like he has a pilonidal cyst. They can be removed.

RE:
Weird hole right above tailbone?
My fiance refuses to see a doctor about this despite me trying to make him. So, in the meantime does anyone know what this might be?
Every once in awhile he gets what looks like a small pin sized hole right on his tailbone area. The area around the hole looks red and slightly inflamed....

I have this too... I was born with it and the doctors kept me away from my Mom while they ran their tests.
It's small but large enough I can put my pointer in it. It's almost on my tail bone... I don't ever have anything ooze out of it though.... but it does get irritated from time to time and has bled just a tad, mostly when I have been wet... swimming or not drying it out after a shower.
It doesn't bother me and several doctors have stated that it poses no serious threat to me or my health... it's my... birthmark. However, for everyone else having oozing junk come out that smells poorly or having abnormal irritation, go to the doctor! Googling can only answer so much. Getting a professionals opinion is where it's at. Good luck.

I have the same thing! I have been told it is a sinisidal (spelling?) cyst. It inflames from time to time and drains. I was told it is NOT serious and nothing needs to be done unless for some reason the pain or discomfort associated with it is troublesome to the patient. I have had it since I was a small child, I am 36 now, and have had no complications. I have spoken to multiple doctors about the "issue" and all have agreed it is not serious and fairly common. Hope this helps!

I know what this is, I just don't happen to be able to remember the name of it right now, as I have a disorder that makes me very forgetful. It's not dangerous. My brother has this also. They can do a little surgery on this, but it usually recurs anyway.
Oh, I think it just came to me...Pilonidal Cyst. Google it.

It is a small cyst. What happens is there is a large pour (pin sized hole) and hair goes in there, (from washing your hair)then the hair builds up and it causes it to puss and it is quite painful.I had one removed about 8 years ago.Mine actually burst open. He should really see a doctor, most times they can drain it/ lance it in the office.

Seriously - go see a doctor.... there shouldn't be any large "holes" in your body that you cannot account for.
