My Pc was lately formated , i plugged in my speakers but there is no sound i have no Cd's or anything to install them i usually just plug them in and they work . I tried to play a Cd and a window cvame up saying ;-
Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly.
What do you think i need to do Plz Help !!!

Probably your drivers for the sound isn't installed. If you have a branded computer system, goto their website and search for your computer (model) and download the sound drivers and install.

For Most of the device plugged on to your computer need a driver(Software for supporting that hardware) in your case its a AUDIO DRIVER, since you've formatted your computer , now you have to re-install your audio Driver, for this you need your motherboard(main board) installtion disk,which will be having al the driver softwares necessary for your PC, in case you dont have your motherborad disc, you can visit your motherboard manufaturers website and download that software for your motherboard.
