I was watching TV on saturday, when a mouse ran into the middle of my living room, fell over and just died! I don't know what in the world that was all about? I swept it into my dustpan and threw it outside. That was very strange!

Unless you were putting out something to kill it, it probably had a heart attack...this is pretty common for animals with small bodies, it was probably startled by seeing you or from a noise of the tv.

Somebody in your area (a neighbour, perhaps?) probably set down poison. This is what happens when you use poison instead of more practical traps.

It probably got a disease or perhaps got scared to death. That can happens sometimes.
