i want to say its in a pacific state, but i can tell you that when we went to big bear lake california they showed us one of the cabins they used for filming the crystal lake sets

So just where is Camp Crystal Lake? The first three films indicate that it is located in New Jersey, but later films hint that it is in Connecticut. With this series contradiction, people tend to accept one or the other, depending on their favorite movies. Decide for yourself!
