I am looking to buy a 2001 Corvette but I have looked at some that say "this one does not burn oil like most 2001 vettes" So am I safe to assume that all 01's burn oil? Is it just this specific year? Thanks!

All motors burn a small amount of oil. What you should be looking at is if the car is blowing blue smoke out the tail pipes. They should not burn an amount of oil that is noticeable out the tail pipe. It is fairly normal to burn about a liter of oil in between oil changes, but anymore and I would say there is something going wrong in the motor or it's worn out.

No its not normal for a corvette to burn oil like tis. I mean yeah all cars burn some oil but they're not usually classified as an oil burner.

most high performance motors use some oil, but that's a good thing as i dry motor leads to a broken motor, there are a few this that can help limit this, the use of high grade oils, making sure the PVC valve and hose is in good shape and working, and then there one more thing that will help but it cost and i have done this just a few months ago on a friends vette, we rebuilt the motor and used (TOTAL SEAL) gapless rings, they give you better oil control and better compression, with 0.01 bleed down compared to 0.10 to 0.20 bleed down of regular rings
