elmira,

The greatest prize sometimes carries with it the greatest risk and even greater sacrifice.

Elmira, with this ring, I give you the greatest love I could possibly give if you're willing to take the chance;

with this ring, I ask you not only of forgiveness but also forgetfulness;

with this ring is a promise to love and care for you for as long as I live;

with this ring is a lifelong commitment towards a beautiful goal;

but most importantly, with this ring, lies my hope of happilly ever after.

I love you with all of my heart.
Elmira will you be my wife, will you marry me?

You're kidding, right?!

It isn't a sacrifice to marry this woman, nor is she a freaking prize to be won.

What's with the forgiveness and forgetfulness? That's just awkward.

"Beautiful goal?" Try "lifelong commitment of love,devotion, and friendship."

If I wasn't already married , I would marry you. Any man that was thoughtful enough to make up a poem like that is a wonderful prize his self.

These are great except I dont like the "forgetfulness" part of this one...with this ring, I ask you not only of forgiveness but also forgetfulness;

It's not the elegance of the poetry, it's the feeling that produces it. Better to be honest and say what you mean than be fancy and sound artificial.

That's thoughtful and beautiful. She would like it ;-) I hope you two will have a wonderful life together where things are new and fresh literally and non-literally.
