When I saw a slew of strange questions on this site last night, I got a little P.O.ed. In my slow to catch on mind, I thought, "the dang youngsters are picking on us old folks". Now, I know it was all in fun, and I feel so bad about my stinkin thinkin (tears). My slow wit took control again ....... If I'da knowed they was just jokin..... I'm just gonna go and bury my head under a pillow for a long, long time.

Naw, they were very quick witted, funny, and we are just not used to that kind of play...fortunately, I caught it from the very first posting and joined the fun..many others did to. Unfortunately, they were treated badly by a few here who reported them, I doubt that they will be back...very sad ...there was NOTHING written that was reportable....I will miss the fun. And now, I will have to add....nothing that was written was really that far from what is written here daily. No life shaking questions are presented as a rule, nothing goes on here but, what I would consider chit chat. Rarely does anyone want an actual answer, it is a form of communication, no more, no less. They came to communicate, have some fun and have us join in with them. IF we are going to report all questions that are not questions, then we might as well go back to emailing our friends day in and day out. This looney bunch was a breath of fresh air in the "let's play" mode. How anyone could take offense is beyond me. I say much worse things here an never get reported...so what's up, folks? Are we so old that we have forgotten that others play too? Lord, I certainly hope not. As for being confused, of course you were...it was a bombardment, and a fun one at that! I can just see 4-5 Aussies sitting around Starbucks (or whatever), working wireless, and dying laughing at their own questions, let alone the answers...some of which were pretty far off the wall. ! They had fun doing it, yet today, they got violation notices from US! The same people who seem to scream about violation notices with great regularity!!!!!!! Dont feel bad I was a little po'd too because they flooded the site. I felt 3 1/2 pages was a tad over the top, and it disrupted the usual mellow flow of things, and it DID come right on top of another dust up over you know what -
I have come to the conclusion that there are people who do searchs for the "T" word and then move in on those sites to rattle the regulars. From now on no more using the "T" word, not from me.
It was harmless fun apparently, I didnt read any of it, decided to spend the evening catching up on other things, the party got too wild for me LOL
I am discovering that the older I get the less I like change, especially when it lands with a bang in my world.

You're not alone, I was slow to catch on too. I think everyone was a little on edge because of the problems we'd around here lately. One reason we weren't quick to 'catch on' is because the questions came so fast, it was almost impossible to get in on the 'fun'. Now I know it was all in jest and not to trying to hurt anyone, I hope I can join in if they come back. Someone else on Y/A made a comment about thinking it was the 'West Virginia' section and that did hurt my feelings, but I rarely hold a grudge.
As I said, I DID NOT REPORT THEM!!!
I've never reported anyone, if I get upset I just fuss a little, cry a little and move on. I am so sorry they were reported. If any of our 'visitors' reads this, please come back and give our little group here another chance. We usually know how to have quite a good time ourselves.

Come on out from under that pillow, PAD-D....if it hadn't been for Irita, I would have been confused also. Wow....another bunch of Seniors got us good with their little "raid"! Have to admire their wit and humor, and all their good planning. Cheers to the hill folk!
Hopefully we've explained our daftness and they'll visit again. We need their kind of fun and ingenuity, especially after what certain "others" have done to us.
So throw that pillow away and don't think of leaving. Ok?!
Edit: Luvs, you're a sweetheart with never a bad thing to say, and a real asset to Seniors. Don't know who did the reporting, but for sure, it's not your style. Wish that comment hadn't been made, but you rose above it with class and grace!

Me too, I haven't felt depressed for such a long time and today I'm so close to tears as I was one of the ones who red flagged a few . I feel like such a big tattle -taler today! I was so tired and I really thought they were picking on my American friends heritage and I just couldn't sit by and not say anything! I hope these new friends as well as the seniors will forgive me ! I am ready to take my punishment now!
I'm taking a few days off until my sense of humour returns. I really miss izzy k!

I thought they were great. As a Southerner, though, it was a eye opener. I just hope all Australia do not think we all eat possum pie, sleep with our sisters and stay likkered up all the time. We only do that on weekends.
