You didn't describe what these feeling were Roz, so it's kind of hard to answer. Letting your feelings eat away at you will literally kill you slowly. I am being truthful with you. When you get older you begin to realise there are things in life we can do nothing about, espceially if it is with other people. We are powerless to what decisions others make or even break for that matter. You can only choose to make the decision to not let another person have that much control over you. Let no one have that power over you.Or nothing. Look in the mirror and make the conscious decision that you are going on with your Life regardless the circumstance. Life will be here tomorrow to face if you live another day so Go ahead and make that decision today. You are intelligent and I know if it's over a dude or whatever it is, he or she is going on with their life regardless of how much you let this get you down. Take a Look at a dying person at least once a day or think of Life as being your last day every day and you'll begin to see a different Roz I believe. I believe in You. I truly do and I barely know that much about you.Believe In You - because you are the one who has to ultimately take Care of yourself. I mean it Sweetie.

Network with my girlfriends that I've known for years. It's great to have a small group that you can confide in and can just let all the defense mechanisms and B.S. fall.
If my problem is just pent up stress than I go to the health club and work out.

Best choice is to find someone to talk to. If you don't have that, then writing them all down can help. The key to writing is to forget all about grammar, spelling and every other rule you have been taught..and just put your emotions out there in all their 'bare rawness.' You can set it aside or shred it after ..whatever mood strikes you. Just get them out into the 'open' even if it is only symbolic.

Determine why and how to resolve the problem. You need to examine exactly why you're being bothered because unless you understand it, you can't solve it. (Presuming you want to fix it in order to make it stop.)
Questions to ask include, quite simply, why is it bothering me? What can I do to alleviate the situation? Is there a way to fix it?
Do I really need to be worried about whatever it is? (You'd be surprised how many people worry about things that they have no capacity to change.)
I'm not saying it's necessarily easy. But you have to start somewhere.

Listen sweetie don't do this to yourself. Just think about all the things in your life that you have going for you. I am sure you will come up with a bunch and just focus on those things. You have a lot going for you and you don't need to dwell on the negatives

Occupy myself with something totally different. Find a distraction. Excercise of some sort helps sort out the mind.

Pray you don't need to be in Church surrounded by hundreds of people to pray. I pray all the time. I think praying is essential to my mental health & don't need to have any witness when I do pray remember god sees everything you do no matter how much anyone tries to hide.

Cry, listen to music. Or I write in my journal. I don't write in it often (I've had it since I was 15), and I only write in it when I'm upset, and it really does make me feel better.
I hope you feel better.
