Is abortion an issue of politics (such as overpopulation, birth-control, exercising women's rights, in the case of a rape, etc.) or is it an issue of the heart (as in, are you conscious of the consequences of your actions, should you have an abortion)?

It's none of my business whether another woman chooses to be a host for a potential life for nine months or not. I've had a baby, and pregnancy is hell on the body and the emotions (not to mention the finances)...even when you want the baby. Forcing another woman to go through that if she is unwilling or unready is inhumane. She is a full-fledged human being. The cluster of cells in her uterus is not. The woman's already-existing life takes precedence over the potential life in her uterine lining.

Abortion should be left to the women in question and not to the public. It's a health choice. But it is shamelessly used as tear jerk issue in every election.

I think that if it doesn't involve your own personal body, you have no say in the matter. I don't care if you're the parent of a pregnant teen, the husband of a pregnant woman, a random fundamentalist, or a politician wh0ring for votes.

If it's not in your body - here's a big serving of mind-your-own-f***king-business.

Good question.

Conservatives always claim to be about rational thought and claim liberals just use emotion. The abortion issue exposes that idea as BS.

For me it's about a persons rights.
For someone getting an abortion, I would imagine it's about the heart. And it has nothing to do with me, or you, or our collective religion, at all.

It's an issue of freedom.
The choice to make the decisions for your life.

It is a personal issue between me and my husband regarding how to raise our family, and therefore none of the government's business, and certainly none of yours.

It's an incredibly personal decision that the woman has to make for herself.

Both, I guess.
Abortion to me is murder, which is against the law. I find it disturbing that a 13 year old can get an abortion without her parents even being aware she got one. 1.3 million abortions are performed every year. So, it is NOT rare.

It's a woman's choice. No one, especially the government, should tell her when she should and should not have a baby. Good luck. 2D
