I wouldn't count on it. I think McCrimmon is the guy Waddell will hire.

I'd love to see him coach the Thrashers. They are down to one decent goalie, but they did not keep some of the guys that got them in the playoffs last year. They are probably the worst team in the NHL right now. Pat Quinn is a guy who might light a fire under the players in Atlanta. First thing is to get rid of Waddell. He let those players go. Age doesn't matter.

The lions will advance there wins for sure. So im guessing approximately 6-10 for them. besides the incontrovertible fact that right that's my suitable 5 turn around communities, That i assume would be interior the playoffs if not close. 5. Patroits- they are going to be lower back interior the playoffs after merely extremely lacking it. 4. Packers- Aaron Rodgers will become a great sign caller next 12 months best them to the playoffs. additionally there protection would be upgraded greater beneficial than in all risk interior the draft. 3. Seahawks- i don't be attentive to what has occurred to them as of overdue. yet Matt Hasselback will turn it around and lead them to a playoff apperence. 2. Redskins- extensive offseason for them so a methods. often that pans out. they won't be interior the large bowl or something. yet a minimum of one playoff win. a million. Houston Texans- This team is slowly transforming into a playoff team. finally i think of its there 12 months. suitable 5 best flops. 5. Titans- They lost there shielding coordinator and one in all there superb shielding gamers. The Titans haven't any passing game and and not using a remarkable protection they're going to extremely pass over the playoffs. 4. Cardinals- Superbowl losers merely approximately continually finally end up undesirable right here 12 months. And the probable of dropping kurt warner would desire to break them. besides the incontrovertible fact that im guessing it would not injury them to undesirable. and that they flow 7-9 3. Ravens- They lost Bart Scott and would lose ray lewis. besides the incontrovertible fact that i nonetheless think of they are playoff contenders. i think of they pass over the playoffs this 12 months. 2. Jets- Brett Favre somewhat helped the jets win and surely helped the jets lose. besides the incontrovertible fact that he somewhat helped the JETS WIN. he's motives why they have been on a great win streak for a whilst. besides the incontrovertible fact that no brett favre and no Coles. guy that offense is gonna stink. a million. Colts- They lost between the excellent coaches of all time and between the excellent huge recievers of all time. besides the incontrovertible fact that they're going to nonetheless be great cotenders im predicting the colts finally pass over the playoffs.

Waddell has a bit of a tightrope to walk. He needs a name with a bit of cache to regain some credibility for the franchise, but he's wary of bringing in someone that could potentially replace HIM.

Quinn fits the bill on the former, but is also a threat for the latter.

Pat Quinn is more of a 'defence first' style coach. Atlanta seems to be more suited to a free wheeling type game. Quinn also prefers veteran laden teams.
To me, it doesn't appear to be the best match up.

Pat, your legacy is set, as a player and a coach.
You are well into your 60's and its time to retire.
You have nothing left to prove and it is time to grab the old fishing pole and take it easy.
Personally I like Pat and think he is probably a great guy, good guy to have a beer with, however, when its over, its over.

I don't think he'll get it, but Atlanta needs a change if they want to get back in the race.

His strategy would be good and his experience too, but i dont think he can handle it anymore, which is why the Canucks let him go in the first place....there have been older coasches, but i think his time is done.
