Dear ____

Apology

Deciding to make a profile of a teacher seemed fun at first but I didn't think of the consequences. I didn't realize how wrong it was. I intend to apologize for what I did.

I wondered what would happen if someone made a fake profile of someone, a friend suggested it once as a dare but no one went through with it, I did.
I didn't think it would be taken so seriously it was just to prove I could, the information wasn't even that accurate.
I didn't mean to cause any harm with what I did.

I am apologizing for the impersonation I have done and any inconvenience caused, hopefully you will accept my apology.

You have got the how and why, but I don't see the when. After adding that I'd simply sign it: Sincerely______________. Then you should be good to go. Just try to learn from this mistake. Good Luck.

You don't sound sorry at all, it just sounds like you're making excuses for what you did.

You should mention what harm you did, like that you hurt her feelings, or that she could have been an object of ridicule for the whole school. Teachers are people just like you. Do you like to be embarrassed and made fun of in front of everyone? Of course not.

Write the apology the way you would want someone to write it to you.

Are you really sorry or sorry you got caught? It doesn't sound like your really sincere; it just sounds like a form letter you would save and send out to someone else you've offended. Put more thought into it and put yourself in the teacher's place. Think of the consequences before you try any pranks in the future.

I am a teacher and this apology is just as phony as you are.
