As I recall, the area from the Carolinas down into Georgia was noted for the ability to grow Indigo, a plant which produces a rich, deep blue dye. Since blue colors are uncommon in nature, the source of good amounts of a blue dye was worth quite a bit. Just one more important cash-producing resource from the New World!

No. It wouldn't be a logical move for the Broncos. Who exactly do the Broncos have to take over and would actually do a better job than Cutler? Jake Delhomme has suffred from injuries the past few seasons, and this season with the exception of the playoffs he didn't do that badly. But back to Cutler, he has done well enough to keep his job despite trade rumors. I believe he should keep his job. Cutler took the Broncos to the playoffs but the only reason why he wasn't better was due to being in such a poor system. I think he should be the guy for the Broncos. Edit: I know about the trading talks. The Broncos were foolish to even think about it. For one, Cutler is a good QB and deserves to keep the starting job unless he does poorly. Secondly I don't know why they thought they could get a better QB especially in this free agency market. As I said, Culter is a good QB and he deserves to keep his job.
