If anyone has been following Nancy Grace, she said he violated that baby in every way possible, and yet the mother noticed nothing??? Come on, who is she kidding??? Nancy also said the girl's body was flacid and no expression on her face, do you think the girl had been raped prior to this? I have read that in the beginning the mother said she didn't know Stiles, then I read she did know him. Then I read he was a friend of someone she left the girl with...so I mean, did she know him? Is she just trying to cover her a$$ and not get herself into trouble??? It makes me sick to think that he is 38 years old and just now getting his a$$ thrown in jail...how many other little girls did he do this to? Sick F#*k!!!

good question - have a star - i asked the same question earlier because it is so damn puzzling how she wouldn't see the physical effects of her child being raped. Not to mention the emotional effects. Let's just say that the child didn't show any emotional difference after the rape. Okay, when she bathed her child, would the child not be saying "ouch" or saying "that hurts" - i mean , it's just so hard to believe - And if my daughter ever said "ouch " referring to her private parts, I would be interrogating her like the cops to find out what happened.
I feel really bad for her if she didn't notice anything, but like I said, Its just sooooo hard to believe.
I may be totally wrong, but I just don't see how in the world that she didn't notice ANYTHING - unless, she wasn't with her daughter much at all.
I don't understand people leaving their children with people they barely know - "a friend of a friend" my @ss.

Yes, I find this with a big ? mark. You bathe your child at this age, you would notice her little body, physically and mentally as well.
She is either lying or she is a Mother that is not very devoted, I would say she knew.
And this wasn't just a one time thing, apparently it had been going on for a while. After all he set up a tri-pod and camera.
And a Mother just does not leave her child with someone she doesn't supposedly know very well!
Stiles is one evil man. Who could do this to a child, a baby, only 21/2 years old?
I hope they get a hold of him in prison.

OMG, I've been telling everyone the same darn thing, what the heck!!!! She had to bathe the child and see bruising, bleeding etc. The ONLY way a mother could not be "aware" (my opinion) is to be involved(letting someone do this for $) or intentionally looking the other way, for who knows what reason. I hope they get to the bottom of this YESTERDAY, I am so tired of seeing sick people preying on innocent little ones!! I hope they rape him DAILY in jail!!!

That was my first thought too. But I know that there are women who miss the signs because they are in denial, or they are victims of the same abuser and are afraid for their lives. This woman doesn't seem to be either though, so it is even more puzzling.
Anyway, other prisoners have their own special kind of justice for guys like Stiles.

Been through this in my own family. YES, it is possible that the mother didn't know or suspect. Unfortunately, many women don't want to know, and thus don't "see" many things. If her maternal instincts are intact, however, she will never stop feeling guilty that she wasn't able to protect her child.
My own mother never saw or knew about what my father did to us (his daughters), even though the signs were everywhere, for many years - including my hospitalization after one of the rapes, when I was 10. So, yes, it does happen, hard to believe, but true.

Many females are desparate and need a man in their lives and will accept any creep that shows them them some false degree of affection.
I would have kicked his butt into the next state. Unfortunately, he's not the ony sick *&?<____! out there, it's very disturbing.

Im sure Nancy Grace will keep his face on her show for a few weeks and make him a victim, like she did when Chris Beniot murdered his family in cold blood. and she will have the mother on as a helpless victim to Stiles wicked ways. Nancy is a jerk. She needs to spend time listening to herself to see how clueless she is on her own show.
