We will not be shortening Elizabeth, so the choice of nicknames doesn't matter. I'm pretty sure we will call her Claire either way, but not completely sure. I really don't like it when people call their children by middle names, but we will see.... please help, i'm having a hard time with this... thanks!!!

I think that Claire Elizabeth sounds very sweet, that one is my choice. Claire Elizabeth Allen is very flowy, it sounds very lovely when you say it out loud.
Elizabeth Claire sounds more formal, adult. With the name Elizabeth she will MIGHT be called Beth, Liz, Eli or some short abbreviation of that name in school as she gets older, and would be weird for her (you never know what friends/classmates will do, and speaking on behalf of my friend Elizabeth, her parents HATE it when she is called anything but that, while she prefers Liz)
Either way, I truly prefer Claire Elizabeth, congratulations on the baby and enjoy the little girl! Oh! my suggestion though, if you still have a hard time, wait until you see the lil bundle of joy, when you see her and decide then, it will make the process easier right then and there! CONGRATS!!!! :)

I like the way Elizabeth Claire sounds better than Claire Elizabeth. When you take out the middle name, Claire and Allen kind of run together (like Clairallen) which rolls well. If you're going to call her Claire, I'd definitely make Claire the first name then.

Well you just rolled up both of my favorite names into one.
I have a daughter named Claire and one named Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Claire is BEAUTIFUL
But so is Claire Elizabeth..
MY suggestion would be Elizabeth Claire Allen and call her Claire

I personally like Elizabeth Claire Allen, however if you are planning on calling her Claire and do not like it when people call their children by their middle names then I would go with what seems to be more comfortable to you; Claire Elizabeth Allen.
