No... when i was about 3 months pregnant i took a pregnancy test so my friend could play a joke on her boyfriend for April fools and it was still positive.

No. If your pregnant, your pregnant. The test results wont change, no matter how long of a time period you wait. Matter of fact, its better to wait longer once you've had a missed period, then results will be more accurate, versus too soon, where they wont be as accurate.

The test is looking for a particular hormone-hCG
If you are pregnant, then it will be there. You always want to test in the morning though, when hCG is at it's highest level.
