I would definitely give food and drink but not alcoholic beverage. The Bible says in the book of Prov. to give drink to those in affliction those that are in pain or near death so that they can remember their misery or pain no more, contrary to that alcohol is not the answer to ones problems when dealing with poverty or hunger. I would not own a pub or bar for that matter maybe a restaurant that did not serve alcoholic beverages, and I would also give you the Good News that you can receive the Bread of Life and drink from the fountain that never runs dry, this Bread of Life and this Fountain is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No, an alcoholic drink is the last thing a poor man needs. As for the food, the owner of the bar is trying to make a living. Unless I got to know this poor person and decided that they were trying to make life better for them self, I would not give stuff away, rather direct them to the nearest food shelf or other such type organization.
