I have been hearing alot about how black women are in this massive state of confusion due to whether they should vote for a black man or a white woman in the primaries. Though I believe that sex or race shouldn't matter, it does. If you have to vote based solely on race or sex, which would you choose?

I have found that society in general is more confortable with a black woman or a woman of any color for that matter than they are with a black male. Still the black male is the backbone of our race. While black women are beautiful, strong, sensitive, and extremely capable of handling just about anything, I believe that in order to excel as a people, we have to support our black men. If the choice is gender versus the black male, I would have to vote for race (the black male).

If the choice was based "solely on race or sex" I would vote for a yellow dog. People who vote based on external characteristics get what they deserve. Pay attention to what the candidates say and how they act. Consider whether or not what they're promising is reasonable and likely given the political arena in which they must play. Then vote for the one that most reflects your own views.

I think we should vote based on the issues and how close a candidate's beliefs are to our own. That is why, as I white male, I will be voting for either an African American man or a woman next year.

ask me this question!

i would say, neither of the vote should be given on race or sex.

why!

coz if u vote a person either man or women what u see is the
capability he or she has to or can do for the people and to the people. race and sex is nothing but a stupid and unsensebly used words .

thats why u should think in a democratic way.

hope u like my answer, thnk u.

I would never make a voting decision based on that criteria. Race and gender will have absolutely no impact on my voting decision. For those who do want to choose a woman or black man, I highly recommend looking at their stances on the issues and making the decision based on who will be the best President for our country's needs.

Although I would love to see either one, those can't be the sole driving factors for voting this coming election.
Obama's coming to Boston tomorrow for a rally. This would be the first opportunity I'll have to get a feel of where he's coming from.

What?

this makes absolutely no sense, and to vote on race or sex is clearly asinine. judge a candidate on merely their merits and stances NOT on their skin color or sex!
