The best way to get inspired is to get inspired deep from within oneself, through a process of 'Cittasuddhi' (refining/purifying) as the Indian Philosophy says.

One can find inspiration from the lives of great people, for instance, Mahatma Gandhi.

One can find inspiration from books, especially those written long before. One can also find inspirations from teachers, and other modell people.

But it depends on one, what one is seeking, and to this extent, one has to identify a goal, a desideratum etc.

It is something that just kind of hits you. You have to spend time doing something relaxing and good for you and the thought will come pouring in. I like to take a bubble bath by candlelight while listening to relaxing music. This always inspires me to be creative with my poetry.
