People that you know are fake and you can see right through them? I have a hard time with this. I don't handle people who are fake. I just feel like I can see right through most people and I am usually right. My problem is I don't know how to just ignore it and realize it is not my problem...Do you feel that most people don't have good intentions to begin with? Are we made to be honest, trust worthy, caring people or have we just been conditioned that way? Is it so wrong to be selfish? Or should we just watch out for ourselves?

Fake people are kind of irritating and also lacking in self confidence or they wouldn't have to live in their fantasy world to make them feel better. I just sit back and watch the show. I don't waste my time being annoyed; I just am glad that I don't have to resort to that kind of behavior. I, occasionally will make a comment, but try not to get involved in the whole scene. I would rather be that honest, trustworthy person who does care and would rather be genuine in what I say and do. People who know me don't have any doubts about who I am. I don't find a need to be selfish. It's OK to watch out for yourself but, I don't call that selfish; I call it self preservation.

As you get older, you learn how to deal with people like that. 10 years ago, I would sleep over it, now I just don't let it bother me. There was a good 2-3 years of my life where I let things like this really get to me. Now I don't waste my time.
I am guessing you are late 30's, early to mid 40's?

The older I get, the more insensitive I become. At this point in life I usually just open my big mouth and say something. Sometimes they take a look at themselves and change and sometimes they leave. Either way I win. Although it is rude.

fake people irritate me also, I'll call them on it and if they don't make some effort to be honest (real ) with me I don't associate with them.
