they are friends, but Lady Macbeth gets into Macbeth's head, and practically forces him to kill everyone, making him go on an evil rampage, ha sorry i read this about 2 years ago thats about all i remember

But an important passage was deleted from the play. It originally began "Oh, what foul and accursed time, that I should perchance discover my closest ally besullied with the clothing of the fairer sex, and engaged in an unholy act of shameful debauch....."
Shakespeare, not desiring to annoy his GLBT audience [Who the hell else went to see his bloody plays with half the actors in drag?"], wisely decided to delete this line and in a letter to Samuel Johnson which was just recently published wrote "Methinks the time not ripe to bespeak our forbidden passion...." to which Johnson replied "What you talkin' about, fool?"
