Last I checked "equal" means the same. Like 2 = 2 or 7 = 7. If men and women were equal, why would men be able to dominate the world so easily while women have to fight so hard to get power?
Why is it that when you get the best woman and the best man in any skill area or field, the man is better 99% of the time?
Why is the smartest man in the world smarter than the smartest woman?
Why is the strongest man in the world stronger than the strongest woman?
Equal means the same. 2 + 2 Always equals 4. And 4 Always equals 4.
Man + Man does not equal woman. Woman + Woman does not equal man. Woman does not equal man. Man does not equal women. So where is this "equality" idea coming from???
Prove me wrong on this. No insults or sarcastic remarks... just prove me wrong (if you can).

When women talk about equality, they simply want credit for their contributions, and ability's the same as any man would. I don't think they want to be treated like a man, just respected like one. And men are not good at evreything, studies have proven that women are the more intelligent species, more capable than men of multi-tasking. They are better at certain things in life, such as being creative, cooking, caring for children etc...

Men will dominate the world, because the world has been shaped to support men more than women. This is a primeval invention and it hasn't changed yet.
Men and women will never be equal, as biologically the differences are too great.
This does not mean that one is better than the other, they are a biological compliment. As a species we cannot exist without our opposite sex.
If there were true equality then there would not be women's or men's events at the Olympics. However women as athletes would cease to exist. In a physical challenge there's no competition a man would always come first.
Civilised societies have been based on male domination, and physical prowess.
This is not a good thing, but it's the way it is.

Yes we are moving towards a female dominated world, a matriarchal society. It can affect men in various ways, being the oppressed second class citizens. One way is boys mutilating themselves in a certain way, trying to be girls. We are also in a rise and fall of civilizations, much like 2000 years ago. The matriarchy would get more oppressive towards men. In the new civilisations it would still be matriarchal, but no-where near as oppressive towards men. Women generally having more control than they've always had. It is said that there was a time before recorded history began 6000 years ago that it was a matriarchal society.

Women and men are not equal, nor will we ever be. Each brings to the table something different and valuable. Everyone forgets the basic animal nature that is a part of us. In the beginning we needed males to take care of the females, to help insure survival instead of extinction. The males protected the females, and the females nurtured the men. My husband can push the button to wash clothes, but I do it better (especially trying to figure out whose underwear it really is, we have a household with three girls). I can rack a guy and bring him to his knees, but my husband can add a mean right hook. Each gender has strengths that are inherent to their rolls.
On the other side, each gender can learn how to accomplish talents that the other has naturally. As far as the smartest man is still smarter than the smartest woman, that is a guess. How many women in a male dominated society that are not allowed to learn could be smarter than the smartest man. We will never know who is the smartest until everyone has the EQUAL opportunity to learn. And this is where the word equal comes in. Until everyone, no matter the gender, has EQUAL OPPORTUNITY to learn we will always be arguing as to who is better.

i'm a women. i really support equality. but still, in some ways, men are in fact 'stronger' than women.
men have more responsibility in their lives. they will be a father, a husband, a leader, and so on. their obligations are harder than women have. that's why God created men stronger than women. can you imagine if a woman is stronger and more tough than men? who will protect her? women won't need men to protect them, to help them. women will just live alone without any help. human is a social creature. God made some of us strong, and some of us weak, so that we can help with each other. i think that's what our lives is for. hope this would help you understand why women are weaker than men. but this doesn't mean that women dont have the right to do something that men can do, that is absolutely wrong. what i want to tell you is even a strong and a tough woman has her limit on doing something that doesn't fit or is not usual with women.. God has made women more tenderly than a man does. this is what we have to believe. ;)
and about "a man is still smarter than the smartest woman in the world". i think this statement is not absolute. there is no difference between the women's brain capacity and the men's brain capacity. both women and men have the right to get and to study as many knowledges that exist in this world. EQUALITY is still exist!! smart people won't let people violate the human equality. but still, as i said before, sometimes women cant effort something that men can, because however there is a limit of what women are doing.

If you just look at physical capabilities then woman will not equal man. Take the Olympic motto "Swifter Higher Stronger". Man, because of their build will for the most part beat woman in these fields.
However, and it is a massive however, the theory that the worlds smartest men are smarter than the smartest woman is deeply flawed.
When we look through history we see only men who were the thinkers, explorers, inventors, leaders etc. This is not because women were not as smart as them, it's because in days gone by and in fact even today women are taken less seriously than men.
There are many women throughout history who have achieved great things and some depending on your politics are greatly revered.
Take for example Margaret Thatcher. A woman I personally despise to such an extent that I firmly believe that when the Devil finally takes her the void created to absorb her evilness and all the stench that surrounds her will be so great that most of Western Europe will be swallowed in the process. She is a woman that for a decade was as strong and probably stronger than any man on the planet at that time.

The concept is equal treatment, especially in the workplace. Plain and simple. You are confusing what women want as far as equality. We don't want to be as strong as men (most of us anyway) and I am not sure how to measure smartness accurately. An IQ test and other tests will probably bring different results because the human brain is more complex than 2+2=4. Also, what does it matter if the smartest man is smarter than the smartest woman? What matters is society as a whole and I'd say it's about equal.

Equal does not mean the same. An apple and orange might weigh an equal amount, but they are not the same.
Anyway, I'd like to see some statistics for your assertion that "when you get the best woman and the best man in any skill area or field, the man is better 99% of the time."
Obviously I know you cannot provide me with those stats because they don't exist. Pulling random (and ridiculous) observations out of your a$s make you look like, well, an a$s.

Here's where I prove you wrong...
"Equal" in this context, refers to "social equality," not mathematical equality. Social equality is what feminists, and all human rights activists (whether it be women, blacks, or advocates for the disabled) mean when they say "equality." That all humans should have the same rights and consideration. Indeed, NO two people are "equal" under the mathematical definition.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_equality
The person with the highest IQ, man or woman...is a woman.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marilyn_vos_Savant
And men "dominate" because of a social system that places all of the power in their hands.

We knew all this already, health class...
In reality, Man and Woman are intended (by nature or otherwise) to occupy two different roles. This is plainly seen in both the physical make up of each gender, as well as the mental differences.
This is not to say that women are "inferior" but that Men and Women are different, and that this difference is part of what makes humanity such a wonderful thing/experiance.
Any effort to equate the two is wrongheaded and based on a systematic denial of nature, culture and history, reason and probably self.
