You can try to find a smaller rolling backpack that will fit into the locker. Or you can find a boyfriend to carry them for you. :)

My school didn't have lockers and students were required to bring their books to every class, so I understand how much of a pain a heavy backpack can be.
First tell your PE teacher that you prefer to have a rolling backpack because you're experiencing back pain due to all of those heavy books you have to carry. Maybe you two can work something out, like leave your rolling backpack in her office until class is over.
If that doesn't work and you have to carry a heavy backpack, then I suggest the following:
1) Buy a backpack from a chiropractor or any backpack that provides more support
2) Put your heaviest books closest to your back and your lighter books further away. This can make the backpack feel 20 lbs lighter!
3) Carry one or two books in your arms to lighten the load on your back
4) Wear both straps on your shoulders. I notice a lot of kids just wear their backpack on one shoulder. Don't do this unless you want a really messed up spine later in class
5) Build muscle in your abdomen. Strengthening your ab muscles actually lessens back pain.
6) Bring only the bare minimum to school. If your teachers don't require you to bring your books to class, then leave them at home.

I used to have this problem also... and sometimes you have to have ALL of those books because there isn't much time to go to you locker. I decided to get a NICE back pack that has a lot of support for my back. They have some backpacks with lumbar support... and wearing your backpack correctly helps a lot too. If you wear your bag low towards the bottom of your back it will feel like it weights 20lbs more than it does. Try to go to your locker though or you can even have two backpacks one for morning and one for afternoon and just take them both home. Hope this helps!

i'm totally with james on this one. if the normal backpack is causing back pain then you swop back. and if the pe teacher doesnt like it then ask if they're gonna pay your medical bill when you end up with a bad back that will follow you for the rest of your life. seriously, what you do now with your body determines how it handles stress when your older. if you strain your back now simply because one teacher doesnt like your rolling backpack then you will regret it. try getting one that does fit in the locker tho, failing that ignore the teacher and use whats comfortable for you hun.

I've seen those collapsible plastic totes on wheels with telescoping handle that are sold at some stores that might do the trick. You put your existing backpack in it, wheel it to PE, take the backpack out and put it in the locker, then fold up the tote and put it in the locker too. Problem solved. The tote looks like one of those plastic milk crates that some people stack in their rooms and use as shelving units. I got mine at Menard's for about $12. Check it out. <*)))><

Try going to your locker between classes so your not carrying around an unnecessary weight. If you only grab the books you need for every class you will be better off.

If I were you, I would carry 1 or two of them and put the rest in your backpack. It takes a lot of the strain off your back, which is definetly a good thing.

Can't you get a locker for your books? You only need the books for the class you are in, or for three classes at a time so you don't have to walk to your locker between every class.

The comfort of heavy backpack depends on how you wear it. i had that problem to. I used to have the straps all the way loose. But it pulled on my back. A friend of mine told me to tighten the straps and I did and it felt so much better. It was still a little heavy, but it wasn't so uncomfortable. It may look kind of dorky, but its worth it. So if your straps are loose...tighten them so that it fits and is on your upper back.
