I would like to know because I see many interracial couples and it is usually with a black man. Does many women of other races find them atrractive and desirable? I always see men from other races that are gorgeous, but I dont desire them. (BTW, the stereotype of black men is not true ; )

@ Rachel, I am not sure why...but many other african american women say that it is a men's shortage...homosexuality, interracial dating...etc. I prefer not to date outside my race (although the attn is flattering)...but thats just me. To ans. you, I personally dont get mad...I really dont pay attention to be honest.

As a black man, I have to make this PSA. Many women
of other races date us just like some don't...it's their
personal preference. The "stereotype" is just for
conversation and taboo. Anyone with half a brain
and an ounce of common sense know that not all
black men have a big penis. Plus a man's penis
size is genetic and beyond our control. Personally
speaking, women like me because I'm sensitive,
chivalrous, giving, intelligent, and don't objectify
women. Being a dark black man was the "icing
on the cake" and not the "main ingredient." In other words,
women of other races tend to like black men for our
other positive qualities and our racial identity
is the added bonus.
Hope this helps.

I'm white and I've never dated a black man. Since I'm married and intend to be for the rest of my life I can safely say, I won't be dating any black men or any men at all. I have dated Mexican and El Salvadorian men before. I'm not opposed to interracial dating, I just haven't done much. I'm from a small town in Louisiana so my choices had been pretty limited. But, mainly I've been attacted to white men. Good luck. 2D

Asking a question like this is a bad idea because there's a chance you will not get REAL answers. Black men could change their avatars on here and answer or stupid racist would just flock to this board and spew their hate. But seriously if you claim to see so many interracial couples you should already know that women of other races like black men. This was a waste of points.

I have to say that I dated a black man for 13 years and honestly it is just what you get used to and what your preference is when it comes to culture. Not that I wouldnt date a white man I find it hard to come by one that I connect with and that there FAMILY will except my bi- racial son. Most white men do not or have not ever had an issue with my son, but when it comes down to it there family does and that would be to hard to deal with and would cause arguments so I try to be very cautious. I will also say that I have encountered a black man's family to have hostility towards white women, but not as frequent. (ONLY my experince) . So to answer your question I would say YES I think they are attractive but I'm not necessarily limited to dating just them! By the way I am Italian and Indian and would not consider my nationality to be white, but others do.

I love black men--always have. Black men possess that "certain something" that men of other races lack; they smolder.
P.S. I got very lucky; the stereotype holds true with my husband. ;-) I'm quite addicted to him...

Sure, I'm attracted to some just as I'm attracted to other groups. I'm an equal opportunity dater.
Maybe someone can clear up something for me: why do some (I know it's not all by any means) blk women get upset when they see a blk guy with a wht woman? I mean, you want them so why are we wrong for agreeing with your assessment?

in fact by way of fact some black adult adult males are self hating, and bash black females in this technique. that's why many folk get mad. there is not something incorrect with it, merely as long as you do not bash your very own race. in fact additionally they in many circumstances do it for mixed infants with long hair and easy-weight dermis, slave attitude. i admire white adult adult males, yet do not say, black adult adult males physique of ideas, I hate black adult adult males and others. Black adult adult males get mad as quickly as we do it too. some I advise, like that's o.ok. for them not us, hypocrisy. additionally forty-one.2 % of black females are single, we sense like they are taking all of them, white females can GET ANY RACE BLACK females ARE LIMMITED, WATCH dark females DOCUMENTARY OR easy females, you recognize. Counting gay black m, reformatory, it makes it much greater narrow. not something against it, yet many of the time, they think of that's a prize or award. I gave up, many of the adult adult males who loved me have been white... in fact, greater black adult adult males are asserting that they simply date white females, or rap songs bashing black females. that's unhappy our era has long previous down...

I am Hispanic and I am currently dating a black man. However, if I were single I would never date a black man again. Physically, they are gorgeous but I find I have very little in common with personality wise. I think for myself, I was brought up way differently and that creates a barrier that cannot REALLY be broken. I will never really be able to understand and appreciate "black" culture; and I don't think a black man could really understand my culture either. I've been with my current black boyfriend on and off for 7+ years and we are still struggling to find a way to really make our lives mesh. It is so hard though because of the differences in who we are and what our childhoods were like.
And you are definitely right about the black male stereotype! They need to get over themselves when it comes to that!!! LOL
