Yep - as I've said many times on here - they ignore the bits that don't agree with or promote their personal agendas.
Kind of like how saying "goddamn" is evil, but the N word is a personal expression.

I don't know where you get that the Bible teaches against masturbation and oral sex, but the bottom line is that ANY sexual immorality is a sin. The thing is, though, that there are a whole bunch of other things that are sins too. All are sinners. There is not one that is good. No, not one. The only problems I have with the homosexual agenda is that they want to glorify it, say it's not a sin and push it's normalcy on my child. I haven't even told my 5-year old how to have sex the way God intended and yet, in the schools, they want to tell him about Heather's two mommies and the King and the King.

I think the issue I had with sodomy (so to speak) is that the Supreme Court has deemed it a fundamental constitutional right, by extending an already unsupportable line of cases dealing with what they have called "privacy."
Anyone who thinks there is such a thing as a constitutional right of privacy has never undergone an IRS audit.
Generally, I trust the people, acting through their representatives, than I do five out of nine justices appointed for life on the Supreme Court.

Fortunately the Supreme Court over ruled all sodomy laws in the U.S.
There were all the laws that you spoke of. And thanks to forward thinking judges, we have a little more freedom, and a little less of the government trying to run our personal lives.

We know how to draw a line between our religious belief and what people should be allowed to do in their privacy.
Gay marriage, on top of being obscene, infringes on the public. It would cause companies to spend more money insuring these "wifes" and "husbands." Pensions would have to carry over to them, as that gay Congressman's butt buddy hoped when his main squeeze dies. Glad America saved some tax dollars there. It encourages the mental abuse of children who are allowed to be adopted by these sickos.
If it were just two homos who want to be "married" in the privacy of the home, go for it. But as soon as the rest of us have to deal with it, it stops.

the rulers of our country control the media and bring up religion to rally the judgmental people.... to cloud out their true motivations,,,
one example....
the left started raising the issue of our corporations sending high paying jobs overseas.... then the corporate owned media responded with "look at all the mexicans stealing your jobs" this was a great tactic that rallied all of the racists... and overclouded a much more important issue to the american people...

First, you would have to come up with an interpretation of a collection of incoherent moronic babbling, as the bible is. It's like reading chicken bones or dies, you can read anything into it.

well frankly if they were really all about non-selective enforcement of old testament laws, they would litigate how may cubits long your curtains have to be, illegalize shellfish and pork, say that a widow must be wed to her husbands oldest un-wed brother, etc.

Republicans don't actually understand the bible. "Sodomy" was a term invited by St. Augstine.
