He bites because he is in a lot of pain...biting soothes the tension in his gums. so, NO you should never bite a little baby. People are ignorant!
My daughter would bite my shoulders too. I wish i could tell you we gave her something that helps, but i can't. I can offer support. Like all kids, they go thru biting phases. But they DO grow out of it. Just give him some time and patience. and if he can handle solids, a frozen bananna always seemed to help my daughter. and kept her busy.

Since the points are through, the rest should come through in a few days. Once the teeth have broken through, the pressure on the gums is relieved, so it should start to get better soon.

You've said he doesn't like teething rings? Have you tried the ones that go in the fridge or freezer? I found that sometimes my daughter only wanted the chilled ones, since that provided cooling relief. I've tried the Hyland's teething tablets, and Camilia (another homeopathic product) and infant motrin if it was really bad.

Teething takes time, it must really hurt, give him something else to bite on though, your shoulder is far from a chew toy. Sometimes teeth take a long time to come in, just hope, and be patient. But owww!

He's biting because he's teething and the pressure feels good on his gums. His bottom teeth and a lot of other teeth are coming in so he's going to bite often. Good luck

Like a puppy, kids will gnaw when getting their teeth. Totally normal and the rest should be coming in soon.
