We are probably going to name our daughter Corinne since it is the only name both my husband and I like. It is a very hard name to match up with a middle name. I like Lucille because it's my grandma's middle name, but my husband says its too old fashioned. Anyone have some good suggestions?

Who cares if it's old fashioned....no one ever says your middle name anyway. Then when someone does ask you can say It was after my great grandma.
Anyway, I like Leigh, Marie, Nicole.
These all sound good as does Lucille. :)

Corinne
Although Lucille is an older name, It's a family name. Plus it's in the middle, So keep in mind it will not be used on a daily basis, and something that both you, your husband and the child can live with.
You may try using a variation of Lucille to honor your grandmother.
LuAnna
LuAnn
Luvelle
LLuvia

I would suggest
Corinne LLuvia
LLuvia Corinne

My daughter's name is CORINNE and I asked the same question 33 years ago I chose ELISE as her middle name and after the actress in the original sitcom SOAP starring with Billy Crystal. It was such a pretty name so careful choosing the name. She does appreciate the choice and well in her profession as a corporate lawyer.

I like to sound out the name with the middle and last. If your last name only has one syllable, with Corinne, I would pick a longer middle name, Corinne Elizabeth, Corrine Isabelle, etc.

If your last name has two or more syllables, I would pick a one syllable middle name, Corinne Lee, Corinne Lyne, etc.

Hope that helps!

I really like the name Corinne..I had a friend when I was a kid whose name was that only spelled..(Koren). Her middle name was Irene. I liked that and I also like Lucille. Family names are a great way to carry on the past. I kick myself every day because I did not name one of my girls after me and my mom. SO do it so you don't regret it later!

Good Luck!!!

Ryen, pronounced like Ryan.

If you don't like any of the suggestions you get, try thinking of something else you and your husband have in common and going from there. Perhaps a place you two enjoy (city or state, ie Georgia, Savannah) or an actress?
