Is lifting the toilet seat something that should be taught at a young age? I don't know because I don't have kids, and I didn't have any brothers. I'm a female btw.

When the child is old enough to balance on one foot without tipping over, to lift up the lid with his foot! Really!...I would say it's something that should be instilled in a kid from a young understandable age, otherwise it should be shown or done for them....Let's say the age you ask, My opinion is 4-5yrs!

I do not have any sons but i would think as soon as they can understand the reason why they should lift the seat that should be as good a time as any.

I don't think there's any reason that a male of any age should be leaving a mess in the bathroom. It's entirely preventable.

Anyone whose aim is less than perfect can always *gasp* sit down. I know, that just seems insane.

I teach my 3 year old to lift the seat but if he forgets to please wipe it. My bf is 24 and sometimes he gets the seat but he cleans it lol. I guess if they do it at any age they should at least clean it.

As soon as he's old enough to understand he should be taught. I can't stand going in the bathroom especially late at night and sitting down in piss.

Well I think it's alright when they're a kid. Then it's bad until they're old again because they're... old and stupid and senile and lazy and their coordinate skills and attention span are diminishing... For some of us males at least.

At least I have 60+ before that ever happens!
