All my life I have wanted a school in the arts and so many times I have gotton close and something happens either with the place i'm using or money . I feel like I have a gift that can help change the lives of million of children and help them to grow up to be better, stronger and stay off the street. The arts changed my life and I know the way I teach it, it can do the same for so many children and young adults out there. I 'm starting to feel now like maybe this is a childhood dream because I keep facing so much opposion and I want to start my family now and I thought by the time im 30 I would have established this school and can devote time to my family. But im 30 now and all I did was have a bunch of almost there's. How do you no when to give up?

If you first don't succeed, try and try again. Why give up? If this is what you want to do do not give up on your dream. Nobody is programed to be born to do anything in particular. Only Jesus Christ can say this of himself. We all can achieve anything if the right opportunity presents itself, along with a strong will power.

If you have the passion, talent, and opportunity, then a dream can become a reality. Perhaps you were starting out too fast. If I were you, I would start out by just becoming an art teacher in the public school system first. That way, you have a professional certification that backs up whatever you do. You can make just as much difference in the public school system as you can owning your own art school. Then, you'll be getting a steady paycheck, while pursuing your dream, and maybe you can start saving some money to open that school of yours.
