You could get a bedroom for £100 a week - minimum to rent a flat (they are not apartments in London, they are flats) is £800-900 a month, maybe slightly cheaper if you are prepared to live further out. On top of that your are likely to have to pay £100-150 council tax and £20 each per month for water, gas and electricity

You couldn't even use the toilet for £100 per month in London, even "up North you would be lucky to get an apartment for £100 per week.!

To rent an apartment on your own in London, you need £1000+ per month minimum.
For £400, you can rent a room in a shared house or flat in London's cheaper outer suburbs.
Try website "Gumtree" or magazine "Loot" which both carry ads for rooms.

I doubt it. I've never lived there, but I've spent a good bit of time there. It's difficult to get a nice dinner for two for under 100 pounds, let alone a place to live for a month...
