A dream vacation for me would be to have a lake that is private with a houseboat and just roll with the the movement of the water, fish for dinner, peace, quiet and a few friends to help rock the boat!!

Somewhere off the beaten track I guess. I'd love to see so many places that we always hear about, but then if I was to go there I'd have to deal with the throngs of other tourists and who wants to be a tourist amongst other tourists? Be herded around like cattle if in one of the tours, only get to see what they have set up to see. Maybe the lady that said Ohio had it right, to heck with the big tourist areas, just go somewheres zany and out of the blue.

I hear all those typical 'hot vacation spots' really aren't that great, at all. Just nice scenery and cool stuff to look at but other than that they're just other cities... Nothing new. Sure the place might have it's own unique feature.. So?

I would go somewhere warm and all inclusive. I keep seeing commercials for Sandals resorts. I don't want to deal with any children and want to spend some quiet time on the beach with a cold drink and my guy.

I would want to go to one of several places. Ireland, Italy, India, or Germany. India to see a friend of mine. Ireland, Italy and Germany because that's three out of four of my nationalities.
