Lots of times. Around here we have little brown bats. They can be found in small spaces on buildings. Places like behind shutters or trim boards. In some old houses they will nest in the attic. My closest encounter was when I hit one while riding my motorcycle. It hit me in the chest and wouldn't let go of my jacket. I had to stop and pry him loose and tossed him into the air. He flew away with no apparent injuries.

I see bats all the time. They usually swoop down beneath street lamps and to an untrained eye, you'd think it was a bird, but they fly a little differently than birds.

Yeah, several times. My primay school was actually quite old (don't get me wrong, it was a nice place, not run down or anything...just an old building), and we'd fairly often see bats there.

Yep, every morning. The live in the roof of the shop. I see them every morning when I get to work and they are returning from a night of eating bugs.
