WOW!! I am impressed! Seems to me like more men should think like this... As for the friends, so long as your honey is happy, who cares what they say or think! (And, if I might add, I think its cute to call her honey after so many years!) I can't tell you how many times I've fumbled with packages or had my hands full and how nice it would have been if my husband would just get the door... And you're doing both! Men like you are rare... I know my Dad does for my Mom, but it seems with my generation that you're a dying breed... Thanks for showing there are still more out there!!!
Keep up the great work! :-)

It's very rare that you find a "Gentleman" now-a-dayz.
I don't find anything wrong with what you're doing. A woman is yet a woman, despite how times are changing the view of us.
I expect my fiance to still treat me like a lady. I expect him to hold the door open for me and allow me to go in first, and I expect him to carry the heavy packages (if there's a lot of stuff), or the package period (if that's all there is to get). At the same time, I believe that it is my responsibility to have dinner on the table, clothes washed, and the house cleaned. I have an 8-5 job and my own car, and all of the stuff that women have fought for so long to obtain the RIGHT to have, but I still believe that there's a place that each person plays in the relationship. The man should still work to be sure that there's food to be put on the table, but the woman can ALSO work...
Did I make that clear or did I just ramble a bit too much?

Chivalry is dead man!!! And women killed it!!! LOL LOL
the thing is man that the days where men used to do things like that on a consistent basis and women appreciate it are dead. The reason being is that women sometime ago got it into they're heads that they didn't need us men to treat them like that. I am a born and raised Southerner! My Grandmother would flip in her grave if she knew that I didn't hold the door open for a woman, pull out her chair, or walk on the side of the sidewalk closest to the street for my woman. But for a lot of women these days, that shows weakness. They want to be equal to men. That's BS!!! I can understand equal in the sense of equal pay for equal jobs, but damn a brother can't hold a door open anymore??? I say keep doing what you're doing with YOUR woman, and let the other people worry about they're jacked up ways.

I think your woman is a very lucky woman and I am sure she feels the same way. Getting and giving the love you deserve is the best feeling in the world and don't you change a thing about it.
Your friends are merely jealous because they don't have such loving relationships of their own.
Good Luck

I think that if your honey has not said anything, you should keep doing it. There are not many man out there that do that anymore. You shouldn't listen to your friends listen to what your honey tells you without even saying a word.

Thank you so much. It is so refreshing to see a guy go back to the old school chivalry thing. Most guys don't do it and it is frusterating sometimes. Just keep it up. You are one in a million.
