My cousin and her boyfriend robbed someone in Walmart's parking lot, got arrested, had drugs on them....and had her daughter with them, so the daughter is now in State's custody...It will take weeks for my aunt to be able to get her in her custody, and right now she's with complete strangers. Is it bad that I hope my cousin rots in jail?

Not at all. My sister is a definite black sheep, and if I never spoke to her for.... however long... I'd be fine with it. We (my family and I) didn't speak it her for a year, and it was better when we weren't speaking to her.

Oh, and by the way, we stopped talking because she stole 5 of my pain-medicine I take for my migraines, and when I called her on it, she lied and got pissed off. So she didn't speak to anyone in the family for that.

And that's not the first time she's taken medicine from my house.

I was not that bad but I was the worst in my family tree out of 22 relatives I was the only one who did drugs but stopped I did not like them and I drank but i stopped that too same reason and I smoked cigarettes but I stopped that too finally then I was the only one to leave my husbands ( hubby 1 and hubby 2 they both were abusive) twice I am on my third marriage but the first two both use to use drugs and I had to get away from that night mare

My little brother is a total douche. Your cousin probably got her drugs from him, now that I think about it. I would the feel the same exact way about someone who put a innocent child in that situation. Especially since I have a little one of my own. I won't even let myself imagine him being cared for by someone else.

Im the black sheep. But not drug related. I just am with a man that no one, I mean no one likes.

No.. even family members have to be held accountable for their crimes. We can still love them, but they are no more above the law than we are. I hope your niece is not in state custody for too long.

no, it's natural for you to feel that way after what she pulled. how old is her daughter? is anyone in your family trying to get temp. gaurdianship of her?

i have a few "winners" in my family, but nothing that bad.
god bless! hope your family can work things out.

i think 'Black Sheep' are created by the family, its never put into words but i feel families sometimes hone in on one member, for whatever reason and use him/her as a scapegoat for the families disfunctioning?

Seems like all families have at least one. Good luck to her daughter!

the black sheep is me. My family has a lucrative 'bussiness' in which they run illegal substances for the --- after my dad died I vowed to have nothing to do with the business , they wrote me off like a bad check!
