This is not true at all. Infact many doctors recommend sex durring pregnancy to strengthen the cirvix and reduce stress. In the thrid trimester sex is often recommended when women have passed their due date to try and induce labor. Many people get frightened of hurting the baby, but as long as you find a possition that is comfortable for both of you and you use some pillows to help support the additional weight then you can enjoy sex all the way through pregnancy.

No. That sounds like his wife's way of getting out of sex.
Unless her doctor has given her some reason that she can't have sex, it is fine. That's how the baby got in there!
Babies respond to sex differently. Some babies are rocked to sleep by the motion and some are stimulated by the action and tend to "party" with you. Either way, it's normal. The baby has no idea what is going on and it won't hurt the baby in any way.
Enjoy sex now while you can. A newborn will make it a little harder to find time and energy.

No!!! Sex is safe up till after the water breaks and then there is a high risk of infection!! It does not shake the baby or poke it!! My Dr. advised me not to let my husband lay on my belly but other that that no worries!! Alot of pregnant women either really want sex are really dont want sex! His wife may have just been looking for an excuse... as to not hurt his feelings!!

No, it's not true.. Dr's recommend sex during pregnancy, the baby is so far in the uterus and he/she will not be able to feel the intercourse, you can go to Barnes and Noble and find a book on positions that are comfortable for pregnant women. Talk to your Dr as well, don't go by what "the guys" say.. get a professional opinion :) Best of luck!

That is absolutely not true. Most women have an increased desire for sex in the second trimester. Unless your girlfriends doctor said no sex for medical reasons there is no reason to not have sex as long as she is comfortable.
I have 2 children and with my second I had medical issues and we had to stop at 29 weeks. But 99% of the time there is nothing wrong with sex when you are pregnant. As a matter of fact it is good for the mother.
Your friends wife didn't sleep with your friends because she was either uncomfortable, misinformed or they just don't do it right.
Good luck with your new family!!!!!!!

NO! In fact, it is recommended by some doctors and midwives to have sex during pregnancy. If there are no complications during the pregnancy, then it is perfectly okay. The baby is well protected therefore, it won't hurt the baby nor your fiance. It will probably be the best sex your fiance has ever had (I know it was for me).

No, I've never heard that. It is safe to have sex all throughout pregnancy until her water breaks, then if you have sex you are taking a risk of giving her (and the baby) an infection. My husband and I had sex all throughout my pregnancy up until I think a week before I had the baby! The only other time it's NOT safe to have sex while pregnant is if she is high risk.

Can sex harm my baby?
No, not directly. Your baby is fully protected by the amniotic sac (a thin-walled bag that holds the fetus and surrounding fluid) and the strong muscles of the uterus. There's also a thick mucus plug that seals the cervix and helps guard against infection. The penis does not come into contact with the fetus during sex.

No.
If her doc has advised her against having intercourse then she shouldnt be doing it. I have a medical condition now in my pregnancy which outlaws intercourse (believe me I'm miserable about it! LOL)
Otherwise, it does not hurt the baby.
She probably has pregnancy hormones. I'll bet she's having a girl. When I was pregnant with my daughter I didnt want ANYONE touching me. Now with my second I can't get enough. I guess your friend has to tough it out....

totally false. It is an urban myth that was made up by some men who do not understand a woman's body. You can not damage anything when you have sex with a pregnant woman. The baby is fine and your little friend will not poke the baby. Enjoy.
