If she loves to write, how about something to feed her imagination?
What does she like to write ABOUT?
Think about that question, and consider a magazine subscription about that subject. If there's no specific subject, maybe National Geographic.
Look around the area, maybe talk to the public library, there might be a good local Writer's Workshop you could sign her up for. Investigate it carefully, you want it to be kid-friendly and not some kind of hiring session to recruit slaves to write romance novels.

Well there are a lot of things you could get for her.
A new Bible
Christian CD's
A gift card to a Christian book store
A diary/journal and a nice pen
Any kind of teen Christian book
Perhaps a book on adolescence since she is 14 she is beginning to have to deal with boys, friends stabbing her in the back, teenage hormones, and all that wonderful stuff.

You could get her a really pretty personalized journal or diary. A totally different idea that I have found is a great gift for teenagers is movie theater gift certificates, they can use them whenever they want and it also gives them a little freedom because they don't have to ask their parents for money.

The best gift would probably be holding a surprise party at the church (since she loves Jesus), with all her church friends present.
It'll also be great for her to literally grow a year old in front of Jesus Christ.

There is a great book on writing by Anne Lamott called Bird by Bird. I'd get her that and a lined journal.

If she loves to write and is a responsible kid, it may be time to get her a really nice pen set and a leather journal. You can buy nice pens for anywhere from $25 to $1,000+.

Since she is religious how about a gift card for a local Christian store so she can get a book or CD?
Another idea is one of those pre-paid visa cards. They are reloadable. When our son turns 13 we are getting him one of these to put his allowance on so he can use it anywhere.

A laptop with a great word application that she could use to type her books, give them covers, etc. An iMac or a macbook would be great for that.

you could sign her up for one of those pen pal services so she can communicate with kids her age from foreign countries. if she is into writing, she would probably like to learn a little about different languages and cultures too.

How about taking her out for lunch and then letting her choose something at a local bookstore? You can spend some time together, and that can be so great for both of you!
