I decided no on Kylie and Kailey because our last name ends in the ee sound and i'd like the name to all have different ending sounds because my whole name all ends in ee's!
So which one now, Kyla or Kaila. How would you spell them. Kyla, Kila, Kilah, Kylah

I LOVE the name Kyla.... and thats how I would spell it. Kyla is not "too common" like the person above said. It's unique, pretty and feminine. Kayla on the other hand has become very popular.

Kyla, Kila, Kilah, Kylah - I'd scrap all of these
Kayla... 9/10 (keep in mind this is the easiest to pronounce correctly.)
Kaila 8.5/10 (this might be mispronounced as it can be "ky-la" or "kay-la"... but it looks the best on paper, and is more unique.)
Kaylah - NO
Kailah - NO
I think I'd personally go with Kayla.. it's a nice name. God Bless you and yours.

I like the pronounciation of "Kay'-La" so I like Kayla so the people can't get it wrong. With Kyla, and Kila and Kaila, it looks like the first syllable is Ki as in Kite.
If people mispronounce her name all the time, you'll start to call her by the mispronounciation too!

Go with the spelling standard for each syllable.
Kay, and, la are the standard spellings for those two syllables and put together, Kayla, is the standard. And besides that, it is far more attractive on paper
btw: a standard is the model against which all other are measured, and you want your daughter to "meet the standards."

Kyla, becuase thats more 2007, congrats and she will love it more than kaila. I named my neice kayla, and she hates it, so i think you and she both will like Kyla, or Kyra. Hope you like it.
