Well, they played like crap all around. Their Oline is definitely killing them. How many offsides and holding penalties did they have last night? Too many. They couldn't get the run established, only the second game all year that Willie was held under 100 yards. The Oline wasn't giving Ben enough time to do anything. Having to rush his passes caused him to throw interceptions, and getting sacked caused him to fumble. It looked as though everytime Ben went from the shotgun, he was still having to side step a defender or two. I miss Russ Grimm already.
Their run D looked good, holding Henry to around 50 yards. It was their pass D, especially on 3rd and long, that was lacking. The absence of Bryant McFadden was obvious, as Cutler picked their secondary apart.
As far as the end of the first half, yes, I would have gone to the endzone. And what was the deal with the refs? Am I the only one that thinks there were alot of onesided calls? One of the numerous holding penalties I saw was pretty nit-picky. And what about the offsides on the defense with 22 sec. left when Cutler was trying to go with the no huddle? How can you call offsides on the defensive line when the offensive line isn't even set? There were alot of b*llshit calls last night, but not to worry. The Ravens lost too, so after the Steelers kick the hell out of them on Monday night, the AFC North is as good as ours. Then we'll get some real refs in the playoffs, not those idiots they just pulled out of the crowd in Denver.

The Steelers didn't play poorly, they just didn't play as well as they had been playing the rest of the year, and the Broncos finally looked like a freakin football team. I have to say that with Bailey in they probably would have won by at least 7 more though, because they wouldn't have allowed as many 3rd and long conversions...

I thought the passing game was just fine. It was the defense that was lacking. You're right about the field goal call though. But, maybe he was thinking since they were playing in denver that the ball would go a little further in that thin air. I still would have tried the hail mary. But, I think the offense did fine--I mean c'mon, 4 TD passes. The defense just didn't hold their own this time, shockingly enough.

Lousy playcalling lost the game for Pitt. Who the hell runs a draw on 3rd and 18?
Roethlisberger cant throw up those soft pillows for everyone to catch all the time either. What happened to his rocket arm?
