While Huckabee may have looked like the best candidate, and may well be, the big money is on Giuliani and Thompson. So no matter what you think unless those with the power and money agree with you Huckabee is going to be an also ran and will likely drop out by the end of February.

I've watched all of the Repub debates and can honestly say I see none of them as viable candidates. Paul and Huckabee make the most sense but neither has a chance in hell of even getting the Repub party backing. It won't matter since whoever the Dem candidate is, Hillary, Edwards, or Obama, they will defeat any Repub candidate thrown at them.

Huckabee is anything but viable, he may come of as genuine but his ideas are similar to those of Giuliani and Romney.
And btw he is a pro amnesty candidate..
- Import farm workers from Mexico. (Sep 2001)
- Share costs of legal immigration between states & federal. (Feb 2001)
- Path to citizenship if illegals admit guilt & pay fine. (Jan 2007)
- Implement a farm labor system, based on the agreement between Canada and Mexico, which will provide an orderly, efficient way to import farm workers.

*All of this will be coming out of our tax dollars
Do you think there is something viable about a candidate who would go to war with Iran, without the consent of Congress?
Who would continue to increase the debt the United States is in?
Who would privatize social security?
Who thinks we should continue fighting in Iraq, disregarding the state of our economy and lives of our troops, but for honor?

Huckabee is at a disadvantage because he is a Christian and doesn't have as much money as the others.
But I have always liked this guy. He is honest and sincere with his answers and doesn't dodge questions.
I like Thompson too.

I am a Democrat, but Huckabee has a good head on his shoulders. I could live with him or Ron Paul. The rest are Bush clones.

I respectfully disagree.
I think you'll find he has little chance of getting near the nomination and there are reasons for that.
I do find it silly that people are posting insulting remarks here... if that is your opinion after seeing the debates, you're welcome to it... and entitled to it.

I thought Fred Thompson stole the spotlight. He is starting to distance himself from everyone else in the polls. He will have no problems beating Hillary or whomever the Dems run.
