I have a deck on my house... well, the house I'm renting.

For some reason, the person who decided to build the deck didnt install any outdoor lighting...so its literally pitch black at night.

Since I'm renting (and I'll only be living here a few years), I dont want to install actual electric wiring or anything. I just want something to put outside to create a little bit of light. Any ideas?

If there is a set of stairs going down fromt he deck the owner is REQUIRED to illuminate them according to today's building/safety codes.
The solar and rope lights are a good answer.
Be sure that the outlet you plug them into is GFI protected.
