For most teams its for the QB with a headset but in New England it also designates all of the defensive lineman who have headsets in their shoulder pads
and for all of the coaches in the stands videoing the opposing coaches signals

only the helmet with green dots have radio in them ... i'd like to say "thank Bill Belichik (sp) for that" but i believe the NFL made that decision before the Patriots video tape scandal hit the news
