If your doctor is aware of this, which I am pretty sure he is, then let him know that you suspect pregnancy and you would like a beta hcg test, also called a qualitative test. What it does is give you a number for the hormone level rather than a negative or positive. So he could even guess how far you are.
I believe the test can be done 5 to 7 days after your ovulation day. that would give you a week ahead on your AF.
Good luck and best wishes!

I have the same problems and I was instructed to use the progesterone starting 3 days after ovulation and use it until AF arrives, once she shows her ugly head then you know you are not pregnant.
