It has been windy with 70-80mph wind gusts, I am surrounded by fires burning out of control, a family of locusts moved into the ivy on my deck and I think they are ploting to overthrow the praying mantices. I hear tomorrow it's going to earthquake.

The northeast is experiencing its warmest October on record. It is in the 80's today, Oct. 22.
What we are experiencing is not unprecedented, however. Weather forecasting is an inexact science and the study of climate is too.
What we are experiencing is a climate change. Normally when the weather is this warm in the Fall it leads to a cold, but not too cold winter accompanied by a lot of precipitation.
The atmosphere holds more moisture when it is relatively warm.

The bus is filling up...and there's no place to go...I'm getting old, so I'm not as nervous as the youngsters.
That said, there was a movement from the left 40 years ago. We all tried to change, for a little while.
The answer from the right was, "Conservation is a fine thing, but there's no money in it."
And, we've known about the plastic in the Pacific doldrums for decades. How long do you think it took to grow the size of Texas?

No but we are expecting to get some major league thunderstorms tonight in Chicago. Hope you are OK now. If it is making you nervous, do what I do, start drinking heavy. lol I do drink a little, grab a flashlight WITH working batteries (it helps, I know) and head for the TV room in my basement where the dogs and I sit out the storm in relative safety.

The sun's shining brightly in the desert---but the wind has knocked down the entire dumpster. I lost my breath just walking across the street. There's trash everywhere...the recycle bin has emptied all the beer bottles and cans onto the street...where are we getting this from?

It went nuts around here about four nights ago. Sirens, tornado warnings, lightning, winds, it was a mess!
Everyone turned out okay.
You will be okay too :)
