I see how many married people online get into situations that they know they shouldn't, like talk to the opposite sex about things they should be talking to their spouse about, or they get into webcamming, or go to the chat rooms and talk about things they shouldn't... it's worse when they have kids... why does it bother me so much??? sigh =(... I guess I care too much...? =(... I just don't understand...no matter what, I would never hurt my husband... ever... I would never cheat... and he would never do this to me... (shakes head @ people who cheat online) I just want to scream at some people! argh! sigh...

People are selfish and they take the easy way out. What people never seem to understand is that what's easiest NOW never is the easiest in the long run.
Trust and verify - you'd better believe I have an internet filter on my computer. The temptation doesn't HAVE to be there.

My initial interest in this stuff is just plain curiosity. I like seeing how things work and to see if the technology & hype live up to it. On the other side you can meet some really cool people online, these situations you speak of must be of sexual nature. This happens because of the perfect stranger factor, nobody really knows the other person on the other end of the virtual line nor do they have to. Thay can shut off, ignore, or just move on when the situation becomes too complicated. Just another thing that can be attributed to our throw away society.

It bothers you because your marriage is good. Some marriages are loney and isolating. I would guess these people can't or don't want to take time to work out their bad situations. Maybe they feel its a hopeless situation and they go on line looking for fulfillment. I know nothing about webcamming or what they talk about in the chat rooms, I'm curious, how do you?

I think it bothers you so much because the people that you read this about seem like everyday normal people. That means you can't help but think and wonder if some day it could be you or your husband.

No matter how good our relationship is we can't help but wonder if it could happen to us when we see others having problems.

You sound like a caring person who loves her husband. Do youself a favor and don't worry about what has not happened. Enjoy and cherish your relationship and don't borrow trouble. And my advice, if you are that happy in your relationship stop reading about other peoples woes on the internet.

If you are not on the internet then you don't have to worrry about meeting and talking to people about things you should not.

Good Luck

Everyone's situation is different and people handle things differently. Some people see it as the attention they don't get at home. They may not be able to talk to their spouse about their problems, or think they can't. On line, you can also be the person you think someone wants you to be. Who knows?

As much as it may bother you and your morals you are not the person who is in that particular situation. You do not know the specific situation that may have lead this person to talk to other people. Do not judge what you do not know because it is not your place. I respect you for not hurting your husband, but respect others for their privacy and freedom to make their own choices. After all they are the ones who will learn from them, not you.

I can tell you this....doesn't bother me one bit. In fact, I find these people superb sport! What better than to screw with someone's head who obviously couldn't make a rational decision if a truck were barrelling down on them.

Nope...not only is it amusing to see how people paint themselves into a corner when excercising alittle common sense would have been less aggravating.

Bring 'em on.

I don't know why it bothers you so much, and I'm not advocating any of these behaviors in any way, but it sounds like you have a great marriage. Not everyone is so lucky. If you haven't been in the situation, maybe you should recognize that and let it go.
