If you clean their tank more and have a filter they should not stink.

I own 4 and I have yet to smell anything in my livingroom.

You need to rig up the habitat to minimize smells, keep the water warm, etc.

Use a big habitat- 20 gallons to start is good. Keep it warm, use a BIG filter, and vac food particles off the bottom of the tank weekly.

I've had all kinds of turtles both inside and outside, and I'm sure they'll be fine. They're cool pets, huh?

I think they must be in warmer place than ur yard E.g. u can put them in anywhere in ur house where there is soil.
