I think this is a very good trade for a couple of reasons:

1. If this is a keeper league, Jackson is a very formidable weapon. He is young, and he is only entering his prime.

2. When Jackson comes back from the injury, look for him to tear up the league. Everybody will write the Rams off, but Jackson will be unstoppable, just like last year.

3. Marion Barber III is a great player, no doubt, but he does not get you any yards because he shares carries with Julius Jones.

4. The Cowboys love to pass. Tony Romo is young, and the Cowboys will have him for a while, which means they will be pass-first for a while.

5. The only way the Rams can go is up offensively and defensively. When Steven Jackson comes back, the Rams will get it together.

If this was a league that weighs heavily on TD's then MB is the way to go because this Rams team is terrible!!!! On the other hand Jackson is a premier RB in the league and when healthy will have some big games no matter how bad his team is. Its even at this point but Jackson could break out.

If it's points per reception, and you had Jackson, you just shot yourself in the foot.

If you had Barber in PPR, and got Jackson becuse he was hurt, you just made out like a bandit.

In a straight touchdowns league that's a pretty even swap regardless of receptions.
