The amount a person can produce.
There are different calculations, but a simple example probably is most telling:
By using a manual butter churn I can produce a couple pounds of butter in an hour. But with an electric churn, I can produce ten pounds per hour. So my productivity with a manual churn is two pounds her hour, or with an electric churn it is 10 pounds per hour.
